DIY Moisturising Coffee Body Scrub

Hi everyone! Hope you're all well.

Time to be more dedicated to this blog, today I want to show you my favourite DIY body scrub that I love to use all year round. It moisturises, exfoliates and helps wake me up on those early mornings! I love this so much because in the mornings I'm so lazy, I can't be bother to moisturise after showering (I hit the snooze button too many times! AH!) and thanks to this scrub I can skip that step!

Let's get to what you will need!

What you will need:
~ A jar or tub with a lid
~ 1 tablespoon coffee
~ 1 tablespoon white sugar
~ 1 teaspoon of brown sugar (optional - if you don't want to use this add another tablespoon of white sugar)
~ 1-3 tablespoons of olive oil
~ 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional - helps scars to fade away. Don't use if your skin is super sensitive! I didn't use it in this recipe as I have no scars to get rid of at the moment)

This amount is for about 1-2 uses, just double up everything if you want more except the lemon juice, add another half a teaspoon every time you double.

Method:

Take a jar or tub with a lid and wash it with warm water and clean it dry.

Add all of your dry ingredients to the jar, if you put in brown sugar in use the spoon to crush any lumps that may be there. Mix this so it's all nicely combined.

Put a tablespoon of olive oil in and mix it together, keep adding more until you get the desired consistency. I like mine to be a little thicker than wet sand.

Mix it all together and you're done!

The great thing about this is it's all natural and it is such a good exfoliant, made of things almost all of us would have at home! Very affordable too ;D It's so handy for me since I can skip that moisturising step that takes me time in the morning, that and the smell of the coffee in the shower is an amazing wake-me-up scent! :D

These pictures should help you get a rough idea on the consistency of how I like the scrub.

Aaaand the lid is for if you made extra you can keep it for next time you need it! Make sure you don't exfoliate everyday, you need to give your skin a break!

So that's the recipe everyone! Hope you try it out and it all works well for you, feel free to leave questions and I will answer them :)

Peace out Beauties! <3

Nose pierced!!

Hi all!

This is going to be a quick(isn) post. So on Wednesday (25th Sep) I decided to get my nose pierced, since I have a little birthday money leftover I used it all to get it done!

For two years I've wanted it done and finally I decided to get it done! My friends help convince me though, and having a piercing and tattoo near my college helped too.

I was quite nervous getting it done, since I saw my sisters friend that day who has a nose piercing and she told me it really hurt when she had it done; then she kept telling me all these things that definitely didn't help(haha). But I shouldn't have thought about it so much because..

On a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being no pain, 10 being worst pain ever!) I'd say it was a....1! Haha, yep! I didn't feel a thing, I completely forgot I had a high pain thresh hold. It literally felt like a push on my nose, no sharp scratch, nothing! It did feel a bit sore after, kinda like it was bruised, but it's fine now being 3 days later.

I was given a solution of Sodium Chloride (salty water) to spray on my nose 3 times a day, which I am doing, and that needs to be done for 6 weeks I think. I was also told not to touch or twist the piercing either.

I'll end off by saying if you want a nose piercing be sure you really want it before you get it done, there's no point wasting money on something you may or may not like. Take a on of those small sticker face-gems and put it on your nose, thats what I did to confirm I wanted it. Better to be safe than sorry! :D

In the future I'll post a blog on some tips and tricks when it comes to nose piercings. For now, I'm still learning myself!

I'll see if I can post pictures soon!

Later Beauties!

MAC Face & Body foundation Review

Hello there! :)

Mac Face & Body is actually the first high end foundation I have ever bought! I've never really been desperate to try a high end foundation either but on the 5th of September I turned 18 (woohoo!) so I decided to treat myself to Face&Body and Fix+ (I'll review that too if you want!).

The shade I use is N3, it's pretty much almost my perfect shade, I think N4 could be my perfect tan colour

Right, let's actually start with the review. This is a very light weight foundation, it literally doesn't even feel like I'm wearing foundation!

The foundation itself is like a tinted moisturiser, it has colour to it but don't expect it to complete cover up any spots you have! Saying that, this is a build-able foundation, you can get a nice medium coverage from it without looking cakey. I specifically bought this foundation for the light-medium coverage it gives.

It definitely needs a good shake before you use it. It comes out of the bottle quite watery but once it sets on the face it looks absolutely gorgeous!

Taken in natural lighting

When researching about this foundation myself before I bought it, I discovered a little technique that makes the product become more opaque quicker so you don't have to keep buffing for what feels like hours! (exaggeration hehe)
So what you do is put the product in your hand and rub it between your hands, sort of like warming up the product. When you put it on your face you'll feel that it's a bit stiff while buffing it in, don't worry that's just the foundation setting!

In the reviews I've read from makeup artists and ordinary bloggers, I noticed that people with different skin types have used this foundation and loved it! With the knowledge of makeup I have myself I'd say people with normal to dry skin and normal to combination/slightly oily skin will be able to use this. Those with combination/slightly oily skin may have to powder, I know I do. I'm not sure if people with very dry or very oily skin can use this. I may be wrong! I'm not a professional but this is just what I think after doing research and using it personally. If you do use this and have very oily/dry skin let me know!

All-in-all, I love this foundation and would definitely recommend it! I bought it for £21.50 for the 50ml, and it's worth it! A little bit goes a long way :)

I'll post a picture of me actually wearing the foundation in a couple of days.

Peace out Beauties!

Origin's Super Spot Remover review

Oh hey!

Right, haven’t written in a while, so I thought to bring myself into a habit of blogging by posting ‘mini reviews’. Basically they’ll be quick, simple and to the points. Well, as much to the point as I can. Let’s start!

Origins Super Spot Remover has been hyped up and up on blogs and on YouTube, and I have to say definitely worth the hype! At 10ml, being such a tony bottle you’d think it would be used up so quickly, but it really doesn’t. It dries up my spots and they are almost completely gone the next day with just a tiny amount. I prefer putting it on at night because it does its magic while I sleep, this way when I wake up the redness and spot itself has reduced a lot.

My skin type is oily, mainly on the T-zone and this product does even dry up my skin quite a lot, I normally get spots on my skin in the oily areas so it’s not so bad for me.

Anyone with very dry and very sensitive skin think about it carefully or test it out before you buy it because it is drying and can tingle (sometimes sting on really sore spots) but to be honest it never happens to my skin, but it has tingled on my sisters skin before who has more dry and sensitive skin.

All in all, I would recommend this to everyone! A little bit goes a long way; it gets rid of spots and redness fast. At £12 I’d say it is money well spent! Best to get it at Boots than the origins website. It’s £1 cheaper, but every penny counts!

Lots more reviews coming soon :)

Peace out Beauties <3
