Purple Hair (Garnier Olia - Deep Violet 3.16 review)

Oh hey everyone! :)

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and will have a happy new year! Sorry for not posting in over a month, I was meant to post this at the start of the month but never had the time, now I'm sick and just sitting at my laptop with a hot cuppa. I'll try to make this blog shorter than the last.

Right, purple hair. Where to start...

I bought two boxes Garnier Olia permanent hair dye in the only purple shade they had, Deep Violet 3.16. My mum was being a pain, saying she didn't want me to dye all over my hair because regrowth and all that, so I took the dye to my hairdresser and asked her to put highlights in. 

She mixed the colour with number 40 peroxide so it would come out better and when it was all done I saw no difference, my hair just looked black. Even though its a black shade it wasn't a purple tint of black, it covered my old brown highlights.

All in all I wasn't happy, so I returned the second box since she didn't use it and bought the Live Colour XXL in Mystic Violet and dyed my hair all over with that about two weeks later, it didn't come up how it said dark brown hair would on the box but its basically blackish brown and it looks amazingly purple in natural and good lighting. 

I'm happy with it since I didn't want it bright purple, the only thing I can say is if you have very dark brown to black hair, don't expect a dramatic change, unless you bleach your hair it won't change a huge amount.
